Owner: Catholic owned (Acolyte, LLC)
Size: #3 - 50,000 moderately active members.
Pros: Probably the third largest site based on total number of members. You do not have to pay to read e-mail from other members, but you must pay to send.
Cons: A bit on the expensive side. No "one time fee" available.
Type: Average member tends to be very conservative, probably due to a Catholic beliefs Litmus test which is administered upon joining.

Catholic Mingle (www.CatholicMingle.com) 4 Stars (* * * *)
Size: #2 - About the same size as Catholic Singles, 40,000 - 50,000, but much more active members.
Owner: Non-Catholic (MingleMatch, Inc.)
Pros: Probably the largest site based on total number of members. Website has an active message board and is easy to use. You do not have to pay to chat with other members, but both must be logged on at the same time. "One Time Fee" membership available for around $49.
Cons: Both parties must pay in order to communicate by e-mail.
Type: Average member tends to be more conservative than average. However, members vary from daily Mass attendees to non-practicing Catholics.

Catholic Singles (www.CatholicSingles.com) 4 Stars (* * * *)
Size: #1 - A lot. 50,000 or so. Probably the largest.
Owner: Catholic owned (Catholic Sites, Inc.)
Pros: Least expensive site. Catholic run. Many members. Good online community, ie: lots of people in chat rooms. Online rosaries and priests.
Cons: Few members are paying members, and most are not very active (logging in once, or logging in once a month). Too many advertisements for their "Singles Cruises".
Type: Average member tends to be more liberal than average, however, wide range of members.

SMALL SITES

Ave Maria Singles (www.AveMariaSingles.com) 3 Stars (* * *)
Size: About 8,000.
Owner: Catholic owned (Anthony Buono / As Written Productions)
Pros: "One Time Fee" membership is about $99. They offer a student and single-mother discount. All members are paying members, so anyone can write to anyone. Lots of marriages.
Cons: Everyone must pay to join. Most members are orthodox. Higher female to male ratio than most Catholic dating sites.
Type: They are very specific about who should join. This is the most conservative site of which I am aware.

Catholic Cupid (www.CatholicCupid.com) 3 Stars (* * *)
Size: About 10,000.
Owner: Non-Catholic (SuccessfulMatch)
Pros: Relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Website goes down from time to time, and is generally hard to use.
Type: Average member tends to be a little more conservative than average. Wide range of members.
