My father bought this for us in 1986 from someone he knew at Apple. For the first six
months all we could use it for was the "Welcome to the Apple IIgs" program that teaches you to use a
mouse. Eventually we loaded Appleworks and I made my first newspaper and database on that
machine.
Later on, after I bought my first Mac, I was able to set up the modem so my sister could chat and check
her e-mail on AOL.
