Price Equipment $299 Apple Macintosh Portable, 2 mb RAM, 40 mb HD, power adapter 100 Apple 1.44 floppy drive 40 Case $439 I bought this computer from Mac Pro Systems in Cupertino, which is the biggest con operation in existence. I would not recommend buying ANYTHING from them. They switched the floppy drive that the computer came with for an older 800k piece of junk. I've used this computer for a number of things, um, text editor, telnet terminal, AppleTalk file server, internet ftp server. I have a cool Farallon ethernet adapter that plugs in to the printer or modem port and will put any Mac on an ethernet network. In case you own one of these beautiful computers, and it suddenly stops working, try replacing the 9v battery. And if you ever get a chance to pop off the keyboard, you'll see the signatures of 20 or so people molded into the bottom of the case. Although when it first came out it retailed for 8,000$+, I think they are a lot more reasonably priced now and everyone who ever loved a Mac should pick one up.
