Aerial Pictures Of
The San Francisco Bay Area

December 30, 2000

Rich recently earned his pilot's license and was kind enough to invite me on one of his sojourns. We flew out of Palo Alto Airport down the Santa Cruz mountains, out over the Monterey Bay, up the coast to San Francisco, and then to the Santa Rosa airport where we stopped for lunch. From there we flew to the Davis airport for a touch-n-go landing and then down the East Bay hills, across the bay and back to Palo Alto.

For those interested in the photographic specifics, these pictures were taken with a Nikon N80 with zoom lenses varrying from 35mm to 210mm. They were scanned in with a Canoscan film scanner. The film used was Kodak Gold 800, and most pictures were taken at 1/1000 second and f/9.5. You may click on the photos to see an enlargement.
